About Me
I am The Nerdy Feline, a nerd who loves cats, and a Penetration Tester. My main focus is on websites, but I am continuing to learn and develop new skills to find vulnerabilities and exploit them. I was a sound designer for 6 years, but it was not challenging enough, and I had always wanted to learn to code. I started taking some classes, most of them were 1 day classes, intro to HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Python, anything I could find.
I loved playing around with JavaScript and Python, and was inspired to go back to school. I found a great 6 month program at UCLA, and I enjoyed working on the homework assignments. My favorite part was developing code, and eventually found my way to cyber security. It started out as a way to keep myself secure online, and keeping the sites I built secure as well. I later learned about bug bounty programs, and that sparked my interest more then anything else I had worked on. It became my focus, and I started reaching out to friends I made who worked in that area. I started teaching myself how to test websites using the sources they provided like Hackerone and Bugcrowd. It has been so much fun learning new techniques to find and exploit vulnerabilities. I am working on some of my own tools for not only keeping myself safe but also for exploiting vulnerabilities. You can find some of my tools and resources on this site and on my GitHub at, TheNerdyFeline.
I also love to cook, bake, garden, swim, and have 3 wonderful cats. Since moving to LA I have been inspired to eat and live healthier so I can be happy and healthy. Something else I had always wanted to learn was cooking, so I took some cooking classes. At the end of a fun day of coding, I relish in cooking a healthy delicious meal. I live in LA, CA and am always looking for new adventures and new things to learn in coding and cooking. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
